Attorney Profile
Katherine N. James-Bowers
Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and educated in the U.S.A. and Puerto
Rico, Mrs. Katherine James-Bowers, received her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. Prior to law school, she
attended Sacred Heart University in San Juan where she received a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in French. She is admitted
to the Connecticut and Rhode Island Bar. As a member of a state bar, Mrs. James-Bowers is qualified to represent clients throughout
the U.S.A. and abroad before the U.S.C.I.S., in proceedings before all Immigration Courts nationwide, before the Board of
Immigration Appeals, and at all U.S. Embassies and Consulates throughout the world. Mrs. James-Bowers is fluent in Spanish
and speaks French.
An active member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association since 2002, Ms. James-Bowers
currently serves as Co-Chair of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA) New England Chapter RI Congressional
Liaison Committee. Mrs. James-Bowers is also a member of the RI Bar Association, the Alliance Française of Rhode Island,
the Newport Chamber of Commerce, and the U.S. Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce.
